By selecting “I agree” during checkout you agree to and understand the following:
PRIVACY We will not share your personal information or email address with anyone. By providing your email address in your profile, you understand that other members in the community may have access to it, and may contact you (which the admins and owners have no control over).
CANCELLATIONS:
I try to make everything as fair as I can. It is not my intention to make money from students if they cancel, but I do have to cover costs. I take all my teaching seriously and put considerable time and effort into them. See below for details.
MASTERCLASS
Terms:
- The full price will be refunded only within the first 24 hours. No refunds will be provided after.
MONTHLY CRITIQUES
Terms:
- You can cancel anytime within your account. For instruction please Login to your Account Dashboard and Select ‘Subscription’ in the left menu. Click on ‘Detail’s for the course you are paying a subscription to and click ‘Cancel’ at the top right.
MENTORING
Terms:
- You can cancel anytime before the start of the mentoring and get a full refund. No refund is provided after the mentoring has started and any unused time will be lost. No credit is provided upon cancellation.
INDOOR WORKSHOPS
Terms:
- If I cancel the workshop, 100% of the deposit or payment is refunded.*
- If you cancel one (1) week or more before the workshop, I will REFUND you 50% of the deposit or payment, minus 5% to cover fees. (e.g. If the deposit was $100, you will get a refund of $47.50)
- If you cancel less than one (1) week before the workshop, no refund is provided.
- If you register and pay for the workshop but do not attend, no refund is provided.
PLEIN AIR WORKSHOPS
- If I cancel the workshop, 100% of the deposit or payment is refunded.*
- If you cancel one (1) week or more before the workshop, I will REFUND you 50% of the deposit or payment, minus 5% to cover fees. (e.g. If the deposit was $100, you will get a refund of $47.50)

*Some workshops require just a deposit, and some require full payment. Percentage is the amount initially paid by the student when enrolling. In some cases a workshop may be rescheduled and IF you can make it to the rescheduled time, the payment will be held and not refunded.
If you buy the workshop as a gift, please ensure the participants can attend. No refund is provided if they cannot make it.
Admission to workshops will be determined by the order in which registrations are received. Admission using a waiting list is possible in the event of cancellations by currently registered participants. There is, however, no right to admission and I reserve the right to refuse admission or registration to any of my workshops.
CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
If you are unhappy with any product or service I have provided personally or online; I want to make it right as I believe in the value I provide. If you are not satisfied please contact me.

BEHAVIOUR Many of this goes without saying, but this is a safe and friendly space for artistic development. Abuse, Threats, Racism, bigotry, misogyny, anti-LGBTQ2S+, conspiracy theories and hate speech are not tolerated and even paid members will be banned. This is a zero-tolerance policy. If banned, no refunds will be provided.

COPYRIGHTED MATERIALS All photo reference images or paintings posted by members will remain the property of the original member who posted the image. If other members wish to use the reference image(s) for a painting, they must first get permission from the posting member unless permission is explicitly provided in the post with the reference image. If posting reference images, only post those that belong to you. If not, please provide credit.
All personal photo references posted by Michael King are copyright-free and can be used by anyone as painting references only. No personal or commercial use of the digital reference image(s) is allowed.
All members retain the copyright and ownership of all images posted of their artwork.
All other content and materials posted by Michael King or site admins are copyrighted. Any member that shares or re-purposes (in concept or verbatim) any posted content, image or text, without prior written permission will have their membership reviewed with the possibility of having it terminated without a refund.
SHARING CONTENT OUTSIDE COMMUNITY IS NOT PERMITTED Since this is a private community, members agree not to share any posts, images or content with anyone outside of the community without prior written permission from the creating member. Any member found doing this may have their membership reviewed with the possibility of having it terminated without a refund.
NO POACHING MEMBER CONTACT INFO Members are not permitted to use member contact info (such as email addresses) found in the community for their own benefit or profit. Using emails found in the community to add to mailing lists or for any selling purposes is strictly forbidden. Any member found doing this may have their membership reviewed with the possibility of having it terminated without a refund.
POLITICAL POSTS In an effort to make our community a safe and peaceful haven for members, we ask that you refrain from any political postings (links to news stories, commentary on politics from you or others, etc).
UNWANTED POSTS I reserve the right to delete disrespectful, hurtful, malicious, salacious, libellous or misleading posts at our discretion.
NO AFFILIATE LINKS No product affiliate links are permitted unless provided by Michael King. These posts will be removed and repeat offenders will have their memberships reviewed with the possibility of having membership terminated without a refund.
RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE Michael King and the administrators and owners reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time and for any reason. We reserve the right to cancel memberships, and/or ban individuals from further usage of our site if any of these terms were disregarded or abused in our opinion.
